Thekla retains AEW Women's World Championship in four-way match

Thekla defended the AEW Women's World Championship in a four-way match against Jamie Hayter, Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida at Double or Nothing on 25 May 2026. The three challengers attacked her immediately after the opening bell, attempting to isolate her while they contested among themselves. Thekla remained outside the primary exchanges until Statlander and Shida clashed after Shida used a kendo stick to break up a pin attempt on Statlander.

The match took place in Queens, New York. Statlander and Shida briefly coordinated before their exchange turned physical. Hayter and Shida later collided outside the ring while attempting simultaneous clotheslines.

Thekla had won the title from Statlander in February and entered the match with six successful defenses. She returned to the ring alone with Statlander, delivered a stomp and secured the pinfall to retain the championship.

After the event, Thekla stated she would monitor the Owen Hart Women's Tournament and selected her teammate Skye Blue as a likely winner.
