Cam Jordan, 37, targets Super Bowl ring in anticipated final NFL season
New Orleans Saints defensive end Cam Jordan has re-signed with the club for a 16th NFL season and expects it to be his last, with a Super Bowl championship the singular remaining goal on a résumé he already considers Hall of Fame-worthy. Jordan recorded 10½ sacks in 2025 under first-year head coach Kellen Moore and defensive coordinator Brandon Staley, operating in a two-point stance - an upright alignment with no hands on the ground - that drew scrutiny but produced results. He said he is comfortable with his role on the Saints defense and believes he "can do whatever needs to be done" for the team. Selected 24th overall by New Orleans in the 2011 NFL Draft out of California, Jordan has spent his entire career with the Saints. He has accumulated 132 career sacks, placing him 17th on the all-time list. His stated goal for the coming season is to record enough sacks to reach double digits for an eighth time; doing so would move him into the top 10 all time in that category. With the Saints playing their home games at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Jordan enters the season as one of the franchise's most decorated players and views a championship as the only benchmark left unmet. "You look at year 16 - this is who I am," he said. "This is my body of work. It has never changed." Should he sustain his production and the Saints contend, Jordan's farewell season will carry significant weight both for the franchise and for his case to Canton.
